Riverfront Family Church is a contemporary urban church in Hartford, Connecticut.

We exist to invite people into a deeper relationship with a God who loves all people without condition.

We are building a Spirit-led community of healing, belonging, and hope. We ask honest questions, seek to follow Jesus, and join God’s work of making earth more like heaven.

We affirm the full participation and leadership of LGBTQ+ people in the life of the church.

​

We believe the Gospel is both personal and public. It calls us to spiritual transformation and to the work of justice. That means becoming an explicitly anti-racist church and active partners in the healing of our world.

Riverfront was founded in 2008 by Rev. Nancy Butler and a small core team. She shaped this church by bringing together inclusivity and intellectual honesty with deep faith, personal devotion, and passionate worship.

 

Riverfront continues to carry that vision forward today.
