_Riverfront Annual Mtg 2016 Slideshow.04

As friendly as most churches hope to be, it still can be a little frightening visiting a church for the first time. We try out best to be as visitor friendly as possible. And if church is a new thing for you, you're not alone! Many of the people you'll see if you visit were not regular church attendees before Riverfront.

If you're a first time visitor, here are some things you need to know:

Basic Info: Our physical location is 10 WOODLAND STREET, HARTFORD CT (at Immanuel Congregational Church). We meet at 10 AM.  We encourage you to arrive a few minutes early. We also live-stream our service online on our website (here).  Our Online experience includes live chat, a host to interact with, etc.  We also offer classes, small groups and huddles online.  Our hope is that you can be a full participating member, whether you choose ONSITE, ONLINE or a hybrid of both.

Parking: We have ample parking.  Their is accessible parking and parking for first time guests immediately by the entrance to our space at the church (10 Woodland St).  There is additional parking avilable in several locations around Immanuel:

  • Behind Town & County at 22 Woodland Street (except for Palm Sunday & Mother’s Day)

  • Behind the Medical Building at 19 Woodland Street

  • Along Woodland Street

Kids: At our Gathering Service we have Nursery Care and Sunday School for children ages 6 weeks – 5th grade. You can register your child and get a name-tag for them at the computer kiosk.  Our elementary aged children go to their classrooms after the first worship song. Babies - Kindergarten aged children are welcome to stay for the first song or go directly to their classrooms upon arrival - whatever works best for your family. We use a virtue based curriculum called 252 Basic.
